Independence Day Celebration at Rotary Bangalore Vidyalaya

On a bright and cheerful Monday morning, a team of Rotarians drove to Rotary Bangalore Vidyalaya at Nagadevenahalli to celebrate Independence Day with school children.

We were greeted by cheering students dressed in bright white uniform and beaming teachers. We were escorted to the school ground and seated on the stage.

Soon after, the program started with our school band playing the marching tunes and students marching past proudly. President Ranga took the salute from marching students. A sheer moment of pride for all Rotarians and Anns present there.

After the march past President Ranga Rao along with Ann Kanchana, Secretary Vincent and Ann Vasundhara, IW President Usha Subramanian and IW secretary Ann Tasneem Jiruwala and senior Rotarians lit the lamp and unfurled the tricolour followed by flute rendition of National Anthem by girl students of our school band.

Thereafter, the students performed a group dance on a medley of popular patriotic Bollywood songs.

President gave Independence Day speech in Kannada he encouraged students to study well so that they can enjoy the fruits of freedom.
