Generating Livelihood…

“Giving a fish, will feed one for the day, teach him fishing, he can feed himself for life” So goes the common wisdom.

Heeding that, Community Services Committee, organized a skill development programme for the inmates of Girls Observation Home, on Hosur Road, Bangalore on 17th July 2014, along with Innerwheel Club of Bangalore.

There were 65 girls all below the age of 18, who were explained the nuances of Screen Printing and were given practical training also. Each of them made their own printing on a linen which was handed over to them as a memento. Happiness on their faces was boundless as can be seen from the accompanying photos.

Thanks to Ms. Rajni who led the demo, Ann Nalini and Rtn. Vincent Raj for anchoring this programme. Special Thanks to IW President Nanda Patil and Director Rtn.Sukhen for their unstinted support and encouragement. This is first of many such programmes that are to come.
