It was a day of such aspirations...for many of us it held the same promise that every project does. Will we succeed, will it create the desired impact, will the children take up and adopt our facilities and so on.
This project has a bit of a difference …. because it is on the way to fill up the jigsaw puzzle a bit more. We would be closer to herding all the components of education and literacy together and head to a more holistic level in tackling illiteracy.
The Anganwadi attached to Golahalli in Chikkabalapur was our project and we all including President Rtn. Vivek Prabhu, Secretary Rtn. Musten Jiruwala, Rtn. Vedam Jaishankar, Vice President Rtn. Vincent Raj , Rtn. Manjunath Aneikar and PP Rtn. Ranga Rao, set out with our sponsors and Director of Community Services Rtn. Deepak Nakra and Dr. Margaret Nakra and their team from Trivium eSolutions.
We were treated to a simple and yet wonderful inauguration of the Anganwadi on Sunday 8th July. The children and their parents came in the quaint village finery, there were hot snacks and coffee going around, Shalini rendered a soul filling invocation and everything went off well for the 1st Anganwadi in a long proposed journey of 107 more.
The plumber the electricians, the contractor, the painter were all adding finishing touches. The teachers was busy calming the excited children, and Manju was finally happy ...
