Rotaract Football League

Rotaract Football League today, on 28th Aug, 2011 has created a new record by being the only football tournament in Bangalore, that has had 43 teams participating in one single day !!

Following are few of the vital statistics:

  • No. of Rtns & Anns attending: 13
  • No. of Non-Participating Rotaractors: 30
  • No. of Guests: 32
  • No. of Home Club Rotaractors: 26
  • Total No. of People attending the event: 402

Results under Various Categories:

  1. Boys Category:
    • Winners: Team AntiVirus (CMRIT College) - Emerged winners for second consecutive year
    • Runners up: Team Venom
  2. Girls Category:
    • Winners: Team 7B's (Mount Carmel College)
    • Runner Up: Soccer Punch (Christ University)
  3. Rotaract Boys:
    • Winners: Red Bananas (Rotaract Club of SJCC)
    • Runners Up: 301 (Rotaract Club of Southwest)

REPORT OF THE DISTRICT RYLA HELD ON AUG 18th, 2011

Our club participated in the district 25k RYLA organized by our District 3190.

We had undertaken 9 schools covering 2000 children and close to 50 facilitators for conducting the program. The trainers were drawn from the Inner Wheel Club of Bangalore, Rotaract Club of Bangalore and Toastmasters/IBM and Rotaract Club of Bishop Cottons.

To ensure that the above program was conducted smoothly, we had organized 3 Trainers the Trainers Program (July 30th, Aug 13th , Aug 20th ) to train 150 facilitators. This was done mainly due to the efforts of Rtn. Subbu Chitur, Ann Dipti Ann Meera Bai, Ann Raji Chittur.

The program culminated with a valedictory function organized at the Fort High School that was attended by our District Governor, Rtn Pandurang Potnis and other district RLYA officials including Dist Director Rtn. Dr. B D Patil, Rtn. Sashidhar & Rtn. Sudarshan.

A big thank you to the Inner Wheel President, Ann Rajashri Deb and her team, Rotaract President Arihant Kumar and his team and our own Rotarians including Prabhu who coordinated the entire program ,Zarir, Mohan Gurjar, Subu Chitur, Suresh Naraynan, Rony Thomas, S K Nagachandra, Vincent Raj, Ashok Balikkere, Vivek Prabhu & Sreenathan who coordinated with the schools for the program. Kudos to Ram Seshu to have undertaken and executed the mega project successfully.

Train The Trainer

Rotary Club of Bangalore conducted the train the trainer program on 30th of July 2011, we had around 60 participants from various organizations and clubs like RCB, Rotaract Club of Bangalore, inner wheel, Rotarians from other rotary clubs, Toast masters, Interact clubs, staff from Vikram hospital, IBM, Fountain head, HP, Godavari education, etc.

The program began at 10.00Am and it was flagged off by our president. The participants were trained in two batches the batches were handled by Ann. Deepti Ram Seshu, Rtn. Subramanian Chittur and Ann. Raji Chittur.

This TTT program was mainly focused to have the resources available for the mega RYLA of 25000 students that is scheduled to happen on the 18th August 2011 at the government and government aided schools across Bangalore and also to build the bank of Trainers who would be ready to take up RYLA assignments in the future.
